My jewellery is inspired by a fascination with optical illusion and how the eye can be deceived. I achieve this by creating pieces which explore the bold, bright colours and shapes of the Op Art movement and how this translated into fashion at the time.
Functional pieces and panels made with float glass with applied frits and enamels. Matching items in fabric and paper.
Beautiful limited edition handbags created from the finest Scottish mohairs, tweeds and tartans, all luxuriously lined. Images of Scotland are also used in an original collection which elegantly combines tradition with vogue.
Gaelo Jewellery; we specialise in designing and making unique, high quality necklaces and bracelets. These are made from gold, silver and semi precious stones.
Stand out from the crowd and dare to be different...............
Every piece of jewellery I make is a unique and original creation.
Inspired by the beautiful Scottish landscapes and scenery, I manipulate, hammer and fold the silver until I achieve the disired effect.

Scottish Textile Designer Catriona McLaughlin makes beautiful and unique handmade Knitwear Accessories from Merino lambswool, cashmere and other luxurious natural fibres.
Catriona makes contemporary silversmithing and jewellery using mainly silver and often incorporates gold details. Her work is delicate in style with subtle tones of a floral influence. Plant forms and structure have been the inspiration for her work. She uses traditional techniques such as scoring and folding, hand raising, forging, hammered textures and kumbo which is a process for applying gold foil to the surface of silver.
