I design & make contemporary handmade jewellery using Oxidized & unoxidized precious metal, perspex & resin.
When design my jewellery I enjoy exploring the texture and free movement of textiles and applying this element to the hard-edged nature of metal. This has led me on to create my own unique textile which I make by compressing steel wool and inlaying gold, silver and coloured wire amongst the particles of steel.
My contemporary jewellery designs are all inspired by my photographic images of light with the theme of movement, fragility and protection. I use fine wire and metallic threads to represent the spontaneous lines and the detail involved in each light photograph. I think my photographs and jewellery reflect and capture the excitement and energy associated with city nightlife where you are surrounded by the darkness of night yet observe many forms of light and colour consciously or subconsciously.
Emma MacLeod is a Scottish based contemporary jeweller. Working from her workshop in Dundee she uses construction and fabrication methods to create small scale structures for the body. Mainly taking inspiration from Dundee's docked rig legs.
Emma McDermott’s work is inspired by birds and their habitats. The damage caused by the jewellery industry to their environments, encouraged her to use all recycled or natural materials in her work.
Encanto Jewellery makes unique hand crafted jewellery from mainly reclaimed objects such as sea glass and paper sources such as books and music manuscripts. The jewellery is personalised to favourite books or authors, which are incorporated in the design of pendants, bracelets earrings, rings.

I am inspired by Northwest Europe's early historical artefacts and influenced by the cultures and political predicaments of Native Americans. Over the years I have developped a unique style I often call Native European. In this style I produce jewellery of contemporary fashion, such as pendants and kiltpins. These distinguished designs can be tailormade to suit such special occasions as weddings, for instance a matching brooch and kiltpin for bride and groom.
