The bags that I design and create are handmade using material obtained from recycling clothes and from upholstry fabrics. Because the majority of the material I use is not 'off the role', each bag is unique.
Divas Design is a textile based studio run by Dawn Cawthra-Hewitt, Christine Wallace and Kirsty Wallace, with skills including spinning, weaving, book binding, sewing, embroidery felt and paper making. The 'Three Divas' create innovative, contemporary fashion accessories and soft furnishings, the range includes scarves, hats, corsages, jewellery, cushions and bags.

I produce a range of stylish, top quality, hand knitted accessories including scarves, bags, hats and brooches.
What a great way of having a keepsake for that special occasion. A cross-stitch golden wedding card or a cross-stitch sampler for your wedding day or your baby's birth or even just your own birthday. I also make bookmarks for young and old, pleasure cards, keyrings, coasters, pictures, samplers etc. I can make whatever you want.
I work with heavy vegetable tan leathers and pig suedes, creating designs, forms and colours from dreams, making Celties and Funkyz – traditional and contemporary ranges of handbags and purses.
Deborah MacVicar is an artist and Jewellery designer. She went back to the local secondary school as an adult, and later to Lews Castle College, and Moray College UHI. Graduating in october 2011 with a BA hons in fine art.
She has been selected for the New Contemporaries Exhibition in Edinburgh by the RSA in March 2012, where she will show her ‘Performances in the Landscape’, and is currently involved in an arts residency named the ‘secret sea’, being run by Taigh Chearsabhagh arts trust.
Tenterhooks products are all carefully designed and hand crafted by the company’s sole director, Deirdre Anne Murphy. Using a combination of quality silks, satins, suedettes and velvets, mixed with sturdy corduroy, denim and cotton prints, she produces a collection of vibrant, luxurious, yet hard wearing, handbags, purses, hats and cushions. In addition to this she also produces a limited range of hand woven wool scarves, cushions and blankets.
Jellyfish, oranges and lemons, grasses in the sunlight are some of the sources of inspiration for the scarves; while the steaming process and combination of pure silk and high quality dyes results in colours of radiance and depth.
