Hand-painted porcelain birds and animals.
I produce handmade earthenware ceramics including functional and decorative tableware as well as ceramic jewellery with detailed leather and knot work. I experiment a lot with texture and multi layer glazing to produce interesting surface decoration. Pieces are either wheel thrown or hand built and are fired in an electric kiln. Every piece is carefully considered and individually crafted.
My work is all ceramic stoneware mostly useable items, but also decorative items. They are all reasonably priced.
My work is primarily in porcelain or paperclay used for murals and wall panels and fired to a high temperature. Colour and pattern is important using a variety of decorating methods. The feeling is contemporary, abstract. Some murals also include areas of textured relief.
