Reuben O’Connell designs and makes pieces of high quality bespoke furniture.
He works with locally grown hardwoods from the area to create unique, handmade furniture with a lasting beauty and purpose that will survive for generations.
My work uses traditional methods to create contemporary organic furniture which is graceful and enhances the beauty in the wood. Examples include tables, cabinets, mirrors and office furniture. Timber used is usually from local trees. Sculptures use the cross and the Tree of Life for inspiration with the final form determined by the piece of wood. These hand-carved pieces are suitable for home or public places and are made to inspiration and commission.
Wildwood Crafts is based in Braveheart Country near Stirling. I hand-carve all the items I make, which range from crochet hooks via house name plaques to feature fireplaces. I turn and carve bowls and other small items and I teach aspiring carvers.
I turn contemporary pieces using native British hardwoods. Working with nature rather than against it, flowing line, form, and proportion are paramount to my design. Inspired by the simplest of things, the shape of the shoreline or a weathered rock; everything has a line that can be used.
Working almost entirely to commission, all pieces produced by RMD are hand-crafted and made to the client's individual requirements.
Quality timber is purchased from selected timber yards and carefully chosen to suit its purpose. I use traditional construction methods including mortice and tenon, and hand cut dovetail joints.
Quality bespoke products and services for the decorative glass market including stained glass, fused art glass and night classes.
Rob Elliot has seized the opportunity to fulfil a dream. Since 1987, he has built on the experience of three generations of woodworkers to design furniture using only locally grown timber.
Bringing his inherent skills to the natural beauty of the wood, Rob Elliot has succeeded in producing furniture to be treasured; furniture sought out by householder and connoisseur alike. Rob works mainly in Wych Elm and makes a point of using only trees that have died naturally, ensuring no living trees are felled to make this richly patterned, handcrafted furniture.
Rob Mulholland, a contemporary Scottish artist based in Stirlingshire, Scotland, has created this unique collection of hand crafted metal bowls. Each piece is individually coloured and patterned by applying heat over the surface of the metal. A full range of his work is available in galleries throughout the U.K.
I make furniture from native hardwoods which also includes glass, metal and stone.
