We also stock a variety of CDs and books in English and Gaelic for both adults and children.
an talla solais (Ullapool Visual Arts) is a visual arts initiative in Ullapool on the west coast of the Highlands. We exhibit a wide variety of work in our galleries throughout the year with the aim of making the visual arts accessible to both the local community and visitors from further afield. As well as selling work from our programme of exhibitions we have a small sales area showcasing some of the best local and contemporary art and craft work. This includes ceramics, jewellery, glass-work, textiles and silver-work.
An Tobar is the Arts centre for the islands of Mull and Iona, based in Tobermory and showing a regularly-changing programme of the very best of contemporary visual arts and crafts.
The cafe and shop work by local artists and makers in addition to a range of fair trade crafts and instruments from around the world. An Tobar is committed to promoting local professionals working and living on the islands and maintains the Mull & Iona Artists and Makers Register.
The Angela Learoyd Jewellery Gallery is situated in the village of Doune, near Stirling. The Gallery showcases Angela's own work and that of invited designer makers who produce contemporary handmade jewellery.
Exhibitions change regularly throughout the year.
The Crafts of Angus Showcase and Shop is run by a cooperative of designer/makers from the Angus Crafts Association. Annually 15-20 full time members of the association exhibit their work within this space. Guest designer/makers exhibit work on a monthly basis.
Work exhibited and available to purchase include: glass, stained glass, furniture, ceramics, jewellery, interior accessories, textiles, ironwork, handbags, wooden toys and woodturned interior accessories.
Designer/makers are present at the shop, allowing visitors to experience workshops and discuss how work is created.
Cafe Dun is nearby, with extensive gardens, a children’s playground and free car parking.
Anvil Creations, metal craft extraordinaire, beautiful, bespoke, quirky and unique sculptures all handmade in Scotland.
Ardalanish is an organic farm and weaving mill located on The Isle of Mull off Scotland's west coast. Our products range from the finest organic beef and mutton to award winning woollen fabrics and a stunning clothing collection. All of our meat and some of our clothing originates from the native breeds of sheep and cattle which are reared organically right here on our farm. You can buy many of our products on line.
The ceramics we produce are mainly hand thrown on the wheel, including a full range of domestic ware and some individual pieces. All the pots on display are made on the premises; most are thrown from stoneware clay, some of the more contemporary pieces are made of porcelain. The pots are fired to a temperature of 1300 degrees C in our wood burning kiln. The pottery is situated by the southern shore of Loch Creran on the main (A828), Oban to Fort William road.
