The Rainbow Effect started life as a small company producing rainbow coloured and tie-dyed infant and childrens clothes and accessories. As The Rainbow Effect developed, founder Jean Donaldson re-visited her passion for all things vintage and began producing a range of vintage fabric trimmed baby wear, childrens tee-shirts, blankets, beanies and sleep pillows. Donaldson also started researching and working with recycled fabrics and applied this to an adult range of vintage and recycled fabric trimmed lavender bags, totes, shoe bags, drawstring bags, hot water bottle covers and bespoke garments.

Combining silver with alternative, modern materials, my work is handmade in limited numbers and distinguished by attention to detail in design and manufacture. Statement and humour inform the concept whilst geometric and technical intricacies structure the development.
