Geoff designs and makes unique high quality wooden jewellery, bangles and combs, which he have come to refer to as "adornment in wood".
I have background in cultural/natural history/archaeology and traditional crafts. These are the things that inform and inspire my work. I use a mixture of some textile/basketry/paper based techniques. It is difficult to categorise my work. Sometimes it is called fibre arts, sometimes not...I have also been known to use stone/metal/clay too!
Gillian Cooper is an artist, writer, tutor and quilter. She trained at Goldsmiths College, London and has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad.
My inspiration comes from the countryside where I live and take long walks, which allow me to source the designs and shapes I use in my work. I am very interested in texture and the 'touchy-feely' aspect of objects around us, therefore incorporating this aspect into my work gives for a very warm tactile feel to my scarves.
