We are a family run business which has been established for over 50 years now. As the tastes, desires and needs of customers have changed so have we! Happily things have swung in the direction we have always favoured. One in which well crafted, Scottish produced and artistically inspired goods are what is wanted.
The Crafters is a retail co-operative, set up in 1998. We are a group of like-minded independent craft workers, who wanted to have a retail space in the high street that we could run ourselves.
Most of us have workshops tucked away in the country and only meet our customers - and each other - occasionally at craft fairs and local events. Joining forces has made it possible for us to have a shop to sell our wares, while at the same time being able to continue to run our workshops. We are now a thriving concern with thirteen members, supporting each other for our mutual benefit.
The Crafters offers a wide range of gifts for all occasions. From pottery, made to measure clothing, turned wood, children’s clothes, jewellery, art glass, silk and velvet scarves,hand-bags, hats, hand-made soap to prints and cards. In addition, we also have guest exhibitors throughout the year, bringing further variety, while at the same time giving an opportunity to other local craftspeople.
The Decca has space for exhibitions, workshops, training and offers creative residencies in two 3-bedroom cottages. Total accommodation up to 22 B&B or self-catering.
The Falconer Museum shop stocks crafts made by local crafts people from Moray. From prints and photographs, jewellery and pottery, wood crafts and felt.

My new work takes ceramics to the edge of craft, where sculpture and function merge. My high fired stoneware bowls and vessel forms become more geological and carry with them a deep reflection of the terrain of the Hebrides. Incorporating glass and raw minerals into his work they literally embody the landscape.
We are a contemporary art gallery and sculpture garden with a dedicated craft gallery, all set in a beautifully restored stone steading near Duns.
The Tayberry Gallery has established itself well within the Perthshire gallery scene over the past couple of years. In March 2011 jeweller Sarah Spalding took over the running. The gallery works under the remit to exhibit original handmade art and craft pieces by established makers and emerging talent from around the UK.
The gallery houses a jewellers bench where visitors can see work being made and also commission their own bespoke jewellery.

I make decorative pieces from slate, marble and wood by engraving/carving in Celtic, Viking or Pictish designs to form plaques, Hnefatafl Boards, clocks or pet gravestones. I also carve house signs.
