All domestic furniture and fire surrounds are produced, plus domestic and commercial display equipment. Styles range from antique reproductions to ultra modern. Traditional furniture restoration using French polishing or varnishing can be performed as required.
Jan Kilpatrick is a well-known teacher of mosaic, embroidered textiles and creative book-making. From her studio in Elphin, 20 minutes drive north of Ullapool, she also produces one-off pieces of mosaic; short runs of hand-printed, embroidered textile goods such as cushions and bags; hand-printed cards; hand-made paper and blank books. Most of her work uses recycled and natural materials and she draws her imagery from the natural environment, increasingly incorporating lyrical text from her own poetry.
I make small to medium mosaics suitable for the home eg. mirrors, pot stands, house numbers and decorative plaques for both indorrs and outside. I use an assortment of materials including vitreous glass tesserae, mirror, beads, shells, pebbles and fused glass. I sell at craft fairs and also take commissions.
Jessamy Kelly works mainly in glass and ceramic which she combines in a hot state within her studio practice.
