My work is based on hand and jacquard woven fabrics that can be used for lighting, screens, blinds, and other interior applications. My textile passion lies in woven interior textiles and in the experimental manipulation of structures and geometric patterns. I love to combine traditional and modern weaving techniques to create three-dimensional innovative fabrics.

BRAVEART is an up and coming name in the world of Scottish Arts and Crafts.
Originally from the Isle of Islay, I trained in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee. After graduating I moved to Edinburgh to study silversmithing at night class and now work from a shared studio and gallery space called Such and Such.
I work primarily with silver to create individually hand crafted pieces. My designs are heavily influenced by the stories, wildlife and landscape of home.
Handmade native plant-papers, found objects both natural and manmade, walking the environment both rural and urban whilst collecting and researching materials for my unique assemblages, this is how I work. My pieces are exhibited in galleries around the world.
I also run papermaking courses for professionals and amateurs, adults and children in a variety of venues. The emphasis is on environmentally sound papermaking methods.
My work is crafted by Hand as each piece is delicately cut. Each piece has been inspired by Nature and has then evolved into a contempory piece through use use of lighting, layering and sculpture.
Totally hand forged and exclusively designed ironwork. Commissions welcome.
My jewellery is made from sterling silver with occasional detailing in gold or with gemstones.
All the pieces are fabricated by hand from silver sheet or wire to produce light forms – often strictly geometric, sometimes with a softer, rounder biological feel.
