Established in 1986, Abbey Ceramics make colourful domestic pottery and fun wall-plaques from their studio in the Scottish Borders. The ceramics range includes hand-thrown mugs,jugs,bowls and many more items including hand-pressed wall-plaques with a marine theme. All their work is hand-painted and fired on the premises. Alongside the ceramics you will also find the artwork of Peter Lochhead and Carol Buchan.

Peter Potter Gallery presents exhibitions of contemporary art in the market town of Haddington, East Lothian. The gallery aims to programme challenging and engaging exhibitions of contemporary art and craft that are both thought provoking and inspiring.The downstairs craft space contains an impressive variety of hand-made pieces including ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery and prints. We have a comprehensive jewellery range to suit all pockets and tastes and in a variety of materials. Our ceramics range from funtional to sculptural and our textile collection features scarves, bags, cushion covers and wall hangings. We also stock a comprehensive selection of prints and photgraphs. Upstairs we have a lovely relaxed cafe area overlooking the river Tyne, with a variety of mouth watering and freshly made food.

Polly Verity creates wire sculptures of shoes, portraits and birds amongst other things. She also works with folded paper creating three-dimensional mathematical geometric repeats from a single sheet of paper. These are often worked up into wearable costume.
