I turn contemporary pieces using native British hardwoods. Working with nature rather than against it, flowing line, form, and proportion are paramount to my design. Inspired by the simplest of things, the shape of the shoreline or a weathered rock; everything has a line that can be used.
Ronnie moved from Port Patrick on the West Coast of Scotland to North Berwick on the East Coast in 2005. His work is influenced by boats, the sea and our interaction with it. His work is made using a combination of slab, pinch and throwing techniques. He incorporates objects found while beach combing; this might involve melting sea glass into a boat or mounting work on driftwood. All Ronnie’s work is individually made, hand crafted and unique.
Roz is a textile artist with over 30 years experience as a designer maker. Specialising in batik, she utilises several textile crafts in combination to make one-off works with a very distinctive style.
I specialise in crochet work, using yarns, wire, leather and other materials to create exclusive, unique designs; including jewellery, hats, scarves and bags; gifts, candle holders, accessories and baby wear.
I love the organic and sometimes unstructured results that crochet with different materials and embellishments can create, and I am constantly playing and experimenting to see how things turn out!
Many of my items can be made to order, and I am pleased to accept commissions.
