Angus Clyne is a woodturner living and working in rural Perthshire, producing wooden vessels and sculptures using native woods from his workshop and showroom in Murthly, his work is also available from galleries throughout the UK.
Angus Open Studios started in 2011 and studios around the area were open from 26th - 30th May. A website and a directory were designed and 6,000 copies of the directory were distributed. 53 artists and craftsmen joined as members and more are joining for 2012.
I produce handmade earthenware ceramics including functional and decorative tableware as well as ceramic jewellery with detailed leather and knot work. I experiment a lot with texture and multi layer glazing to produce interesting surface decoration. Pieces are either wheel thrown or hand built and are fired in an electric kiln. Every piece is carefully considered and individually crafted.
Anne is a designer and maker of hand built ceramics mainly working in porcelain.
