Aurora’s philosophy is simple: to perfect and maintain high standards of original jewellery design and take pride in a product painstakingly hand crafted the traditional way in the Scottish islands of Orkney.

My pieces explore ideas of the embedded object and memory. The found objects I use are metaphors for recovered memory – forms of association and representation. I see these materials as artefacts which have a powerful relationship with the environment I have taken them from. I use objects which pull away from their environments acting as signifiers of residual memory.
Come to Kilberry and visit us at Bole the Gallery! It was established in 2007 by Richard Kennedy as a way of displaying his woodturning but has grown from then. In addition to wooden pieces, Bole displays work by other talented craftspeople and artists including jewellery, art, photography and ceramics. Work includes Painting by Rebecca Barnett and Kathleen Russell, Furniture by Tony Gill, Carving by Phil Ashmanand Jewellery by Ruth Patterson.
In addition to our regular contributors Bole tries to highlight work by other talented art and craftspeople situated in Argyll.
A newbie to the craft industry, have been creating for years but now set up a shop as I need to clear some space to make more things! Huge fan of knitting and jewellery making.
