I work with fibre, using many textile techniques - weaving, netting, knotting, coiling etc, into woven tapestries, 3-D sculptural forms and small decorative baskets. I also make paper which is made into books, and combined with other natural materials and fibres to make constructed textile pieces.

One of the foremost creators of hand cast paper; Chrissie combines both traditional and contemporary techniques.
Chrissies paperwork's are hand dyed, hand constructed two and three-dimensional forms. They include paper fibres from plants such as cotton, Kozo and Abaca, recycled paper and may also contain collage and print. Her works range in scale from packs of papers, paper luminaries, and cast paper wall relief's through to large-scale hangings.
