Bold and bright contemporary woven textiles; inspired by a dynamic mix of human and natural influences. Traditional techniques are updated using the latest computerised hand-weaving and industrial technology. Materials range from organic natural fibres to neoprene to recycled ropes.
I work with fibre, using many textile techniques - weaving, netting, knotting, coiling etc, into woven tapestries, 3-D sculptural forms and small decorative baskets. I also make paper which is made into books, and combined with other natural materials and fibres to make constructed textile pieces.
