Inspiration comes from the sea and associated sports such as windsurfing, diving and sailing, creating a dynamic mix of human and natural elements.

Currently based at the Ann Sutton Foundation Shetland she uses the latest computerised hand looms to weave patterns and yarns that would be impossible on industrial machinery.

The mat is part of an eco-design project where she is re-cycling waste washed up on the beaches by weaving limited edition pieces from ropes and fishing nets.
