Laura, a Glasgow based jewellery and textile maker graduated with a Masters degree in jewellery and silversmithing from Glasgow School of Art, and has been running her own studio since 1999. 

Laura’s work is reflective of birds in both shape and materials.  Hand dyed feathers are affixed to handbags whose shapes reflect elements of birds such as a wing or the beak of a pelican.  The moveable parts of the couture bags often parallel their winged inspirations with motions reflecting the movement of a beak or wing.  The pieces are fantastically colourful with a vibrant yet elegant appeal.

Laura has exhibited widely including the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh, New York International Gift Fair, Designers Block Milan and the Crafts Council in London.   She has extensive workshop experience.
