I like to knit with the environment in mind and therefore I prefer not to buy new yarns instead using up those odd balls lurking in the back of the cupboard or in charity shops.
Recycling is key to my range and I love to find unloved objects, textiles or yarns and bring them back to life. Such as the vase pictured which I made from a felted jumper and an unused candle glass and which would now be a beautiful accessory in any home.
Using my finds and yarn from my now vast stash I create quirky and funky hats, scarves, T-cosies, vases, bags, baby gifts and bottle gift bags. These items can be made to order or for special occasions.
Using different yarns means experimenting with tension and leads to some interesting colour combinations. I also like to try unusual yarns I make from carrier bags or audio tapes. My inspiration comes from every where particularly the ever changing colours of the Ochil hills which I see from my window.
I have been hooked on knitting since I made my first Sindy scarf. Recently I have decided I enjoy it so much I want to make this my career. My goods are for sale at craft fairs in my local area or I am happy to show my creations on request.
