For me, basketmaking began as a hobby and has grown into a passion. Living on a farm has given me a huge awareness of the seasons. I love the vibrancy of colour in the growing willow and enjoy harvesting my own materials to supplement the British rods woven into my baskets. I gain great pleasure from cultivating my own environmentally sustainable materials. I relish the variety of hues in the finished articles which echo the colours in the Galloway landscape. I tend to favour traditional shapes, admiring their functionality and utilitarian qualities.

I have taught at beginner level.

I sell my work through craft shops and undertake commissions.
