Kirsty's dynamic, conceptual and innovative Ceramic Sculptures,aims to distort and exaggerate the visual perceptions and boundaries within her work. Kirsty focuses mainly on energy, expression and the human form.
Her works consist of such work as: The Healing Hands Collections, a variety of Ceramic Reliefs which have a surreal and patenated quality to them and presently 'The Army of Spong'- An army of little ceramic people. For her, to 'spong' is a state of being, which is to be at peace with oneself. The energy of life flows through these expressive chappies, radiating and connecting to others. The ceramics sculptures are mainly made with white or red earthernware, which are finished by a variety of oxides and glazes.
