I am deeply concerned with connection: between people, between people and their land (and in a larger sense our planet) and the interrelationship between these connections. The bulk of my practice is comprised of flameworked glass sculpture placed in the landscape, and recorded with photographs. Locations are selected based on their symbolism, metaphor, or history. The Highland Clearances inform much of my work and my visual interpretations of the past comment on our current behaviour and values.
