Batik and hand-painted textiles, some decorated with embroidery, beading and any interesting textures that highlight the design and give it texture and depth.I use silk and cotton for the batik, but the surface design can be natural or synthetic depending on what works. Items produced ranged from very small i.e tiny purses to large walllhangings, scarves, clothes( preferably commissioned -that way they fit!),soft furnishings and funny little things that I try along the way. Hot wax, cloth and dye-oh, and a sewing machine-the possibilities are endless. I love making things for people,gifts and special occasions in particular, so commissions are welcome.
