The source for the inspiration of my work comes from studying ancient forms of ceramics, both ceremonial and functional, from the Middle East and traditional Bush pottery from Africa.

I use both stoneware and earthware clay in my work, employing a variety of techniques from throwing, coiling to moulding and slabwork. My pieces are then enhanced by a complex of surface finishes and firing to enhance the texture of the clay body.
