Rod Nicholson first started designing and making jewellery in Brisbane, Australia in 1995. He soon developed a passion for creating simple yet sophisticated pieces. Using strong, clean lines and universal shapes and symbols, his work has a timeless feel to it which enhances the wearer but doesn’t take away from their inherent beauty. By contrasting (juxtaposing) various metals and precious stones each piece has a depth to it which brings out the warmth of the materials and the simplicity of the design.

Rod’s aim is to create jewellery which is always wearable, transcends fashion and makes you feel special. There is a subtle symbolic meaning to his designs, which creates a hidden depth in each piece. This adds to the experience but doesn’t take away from the designs themselves.
