Kinsman-Blake Ceramics have been manufacturing handmade pottery and tiles using traditional methods since 1980 and have gradually evolved a distinctive style of on-glaze, painted decoration which explores the spontaneity of that medium to the full, covering a wide range of subjects. Birds, fish, flowers and figures predominate but commissions have included landscapes and commemorative pieces for anniversaries and weddings. All the raw materials are processed at the family-run studio workshop where clays, glazes and colours are mixed to our own recipes ensuring a continuity of colour and style enabling customers to build up sets in our domestic ware range. The pots are fired to between 1160°C and 1200°C ensuring a hardwearing and robust product able to withstand all domestic situations.
