Maralyn Reed-Wood works mainly in high-fired porcelain. Under the trade name of Shards she designs and makes contemporary jewellery, sold worldwide.

Under her own name she produces figurative work, for which she was selected for the Poisson Dòr Nyon Suisse. Maralyn's figures have a great deal of life, often using folded clay to achieve this. As well as producing large one-off pieces, she also makes clay 'sketches' - just as lively, but at a more affordable level. This work is often humorous in nature, reflecting the tongue-in-cheek aspect of her larger works.
