Jonathan Lassen is developing his style of furniture design with Scottish, Japanese and American Arts and Crafts influences.

"I try to achieve a simple elegance of line and proportion, using natural materials and traditional techniques. Essentially furniture should be a pleasure to use and I try to take into account that a piece will have many lives beyond its first use."

Most furniture is uniquely designed after consultation with the client and a visit to see the setting where the furniture is envisaged, but some smaller pieces are occasionally available direct from the maker or through galleries.
