I am a designer, handcrafting mainly accessories such as handbags, hats, scarves and belts; these form the basis of my winter collections.  I focus mainly on the crafting involved in making items such as the handbags, usually using crochet or knitting, and tend to use fabric as a secondary additional material simply to complement or enhance my work.  The emphasis is then placed on the colours, texture and design of the ‘fabric’ I make, rather than shaping and putting together material into a handbag.  I love natural materials, such as the shells I have incorporated in some of my work.  Natural forms, another passion and large influence, I have managed to incorporate mostly through my embroidery.
I would class my style as a mixture between traditional techniques and a stylish and elegant touch added to the functionality of practical accessories.
