My work explores the dynamics of glass and its metamorphosis in form and state as it passes through varying environments during the making process. With my background in Constructed Textiles, I am drawn to three dimensional surfaces, textures and structures and am inspired by the process of making and manipulating glass by cutting, folding and layering.
I explore refractive qualities of glass through the contortion of cut surfaces to produce contemporary pieces that are both funtional and sculptural. My work has also evolved into atmospheric lighting for a modern interior.
I also produce vibrant, contemporary blown vessels with lampworked components and ranges of lampworked glass and silver jewellery.
