My collection of work is inspired by a personal love and fascination for historical repeat pattern design, particularly floral. My work is a study of pattern as a two dimensional discipline and the creation of a link between pattern and jewellery. I reference 18th and 19th century floral architectural bas-relief carvings, to provide a link between two and three dimensional ornamentation.

The patterns I design not only explore the natural form, but also when interpreted into jewellery, reference the past and 'vintage'. With the construction of my jewellery I explore aspects of the drawn line, and the processes that would have been used in the past to print pattern.

The jewellery is constructed by hand from carved and stained faux ivory, silver gilt, 18ct gold, antique cut semi-precious stones, beads and pearls.
