How do I describe what I do? Well, I make jewellery from old bits of copper and sterling silver and anything else that I find interesting. I have what I call my bread and butter pieces: Silver and Copper bangles runes and earrings. However, I get bored and have to experiment. I never quite know what is going to happen when I start on a piece, I like to let myself be led by the metals I am using. I have no formal training, so am not restricted by traditional methods used in jewellery making.

Inspiration?....a good dram helps!!! Seriously I am always amazed how my environment infuses into my work - living close to the sea and the amazing mountian scenry of Sutherland. I find that fish and seaweed clinging to rocks manifesting into pieces of jewellery, many of the peices are three dimensional and rock like.There is also a Celtic theme that seems to run throughout my work.
