We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of Ecclesiastical, Public and Residential stained glass. This could be a personal door panel for your home, through to the full glass interior of a church. We also work on the conservation of old and damaged stained glass. We cover all areas of Scotland but we would welcome any enquiries from further afield.

I began my studies at Edinburgh college of Art where I concentrated on fine art drawing and painting. I then began an apprenticeship with an accomplished stained glass firm. This gave me solid knowledge and experience in all aspects of the trade. I formed Rainbow Glass Studios in 2001. As head designer I can enjoy having the freedom to create my own ideas and designs in stained glass. A small collective of skilled craftsmen now assists me. We use our knowledge of traditional stained glass techniques and apply them in a contemporary form, specialising in architectural glass. Our work consists of:

At Rainbow Glass Studio we always strive to achieve the best results. We use high quality materials and take the time to make sure all of our work is of the highest standards from design through to manufacture and installation. Our passion is to produce unique and contemporary art in glass.
The windows are hand made using a traditional lead-glazing technique. We combine a range of different skills such as glass painting, acid etching and sandblasting to create detail, texture and tonal depth. We use mouth blown glass from England, France, Germany and Poland, incorporating jewels and lenses for added effect. The colours of this glass can be rich and sumptuous or soft and subtle but really come into their own when sun light streams through.
