The Courtyard Studio specialises in unique silver-set gemstone jewellery, pewter, brass and wooden boxes inlaid with gemstones all with original miniature paintings completed in fine detail and signed by the artist Wendy Sabine. The boxes and pendants, brooches, cufflinks and ear-rings in agate and other semi-precious stones all have hand painted images ranging from angels, dragons, Pegasus, unicorns & fairies to wildlife subjects, animals and birds. Agate slices, ranging in size from approximately 6 cm to 45cm, all with a detailed painting, are also available and a range of painted paua shell and mother of pearl jewellery completes the current range.
The Courtyard Studio is the trading name for Wendy Sabine. Wendy is an elected member of several miniaturist societies including the Hilliard Society, the Society of Limners and the Miniaturist Society, has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and has works in private collections worldwide. Wendy works from her studio in Fife and has work in galleries and retail outlets across the UK, in the USA and Italy. She also paints on a more traditional scale, usually to commission, and her portraits, equine studies and landscapes are also available as limited edition prints.
