Roselyne studied Graphic Design for 4 years at Aberdeen College of Art & Design. She then went on to work in a design studio in the city centre before taking time out to raise her young family. Since discovering the medium of glass nearly four years ago, Roselyne has found that the art and techniques of stained glass suit her illustrative style of drawing and designing. This has emabled her to create depictions of her sketches in glass with particular interest in the traditional painting techniques of kiln fired staining. Roselyne finds inspiration for her work in the the written words of poetry, legend, lore and history, especially of local interest. Having an interest in the archaeology of Scotland and living in the heart of the land of the Pictish symbol stones, has greatly influenced her work. Tales of medieval chivalry, arthurian romance, and majestical horses all feature strongly in the depictions of Roselyne's work.
