I hand make contemporary jewellery which echoes the past. My earrings, rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets and brooches make up a collection of both one offs and production pieces.

I love collections of old objects like in junk shops, attics and museums. For many people the memory of someone or a time past can be retained within a possession. An indirect beauty is held in the sacred nature of these belongings. I aim to translate these uniquely precious qualities into my jewellery.
Human ties to the past are essential this theory. I have spent some time travelling through South America and the west coast of Scotland researching my own family ties and through this, sourcing inspiration.

Through using a wide range of materials, techniques and imagery I reflect the eclectic nature of my subject matter in a quirky way. I use silver, beaded wire to echo the intense decoration found in antique jewellery. By combining this with silver and 18ct gold individual wax castings, flat pierced shapes, found objects and semi precious stones I aim to create thought provoking pieces.
