Helen Galloglys fabrics are inspired by traditional botanical illustrations, and 18th/19th century Textiles, they are about remembering traditional techniques, while accenting the nostalgia with contemporary finishes, such as metallic and pearlecent dyes.

Helen uses combinations of dyes to print with, and uses both cut and hand drawn exposed stencils to screen print the designs onto the fabric. Printed and stitched pattern are juxtaposed in the same design, embroidering over the top of delicate printed florals. While the mood of fabric design is vintage, the irregular composition of each design and the combinations of contrasting fabrics and techniques, make the collection very unique and contemporary
