I see my work as a journey from simplicity to compexity through the manipulation of form.
Using traditional precious materials and handskills in a proces of construction and repetition, I create contemporary studio jewellery with a sculptural presence in which elements fuse and develop beyond their original components in an exploration of volume and movement.
Process is key in the development of my designs which continue to evolve whilst at the bench. Recent work represents both organic and geometric forms where symmetry and asymmetry co-exist and the use of a restarined pallete combined wiht surface patination is employed to create an innate sense of elegance.
I will be taking part in the Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey in Devon in the summer 2009.
