I use stained glass to explore connections between seeing and judging (and being seen and being judged), the line between certainty and doubt, and a fascination with impeding the flow of light.

Each piece is hand-painted on multiple layers of float (‘window’) glass, each layer being painted and fired multiple times. This process allows me to create an opacity and range of tones not often found in stained glass, and allows the object to ‘move’ as the layers shift in relation to one another with the movement of the viewer.
