Peter Machell’s work focuses on chair design and manufacture, handmade mostly in hardwoods. Most designs either have a strong character, hence they all have names, or have an extra dimension of function e.g. ’Oscar’ the Book Reader’s Chair, ‘Guinevere’ the Wine Drinker’s Chair, ‘Rosamunde’ the Four Poster Chair with stained glass panels and a roof. Peter is open to challenge.
