My professional practice has covered a diverse range of ceramic related design and craft activities primarily concentrating on the functional vessel. Exploring the potential of ceramic as public art has developed experience of working with landscape designers, councils and architects. Resulting in commissions for Tyrebagger sculpture trail, Aberdeen promenade interventions and notably collaborations with Dr Ian Hamilton Finlay; Bronze Baskets, Hunters Sq, Edinburgh.

I have received numerous awards including 1st Prize tableware RSA; SAC lottery funding; Inches Carr Trust. Most recently receiving Special Judges Award, Korean Biennale International Ceramics competition.

International invited residencies in Japan, Norway and France have influenced the progress and development of my work over the past 10 years. Most recently new work has explored material collaboration notably porcelain and wood, taking on a more sculptural direction.
