After completing my degree in Printed Textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee University in Dundee, Scotland, I went on to do an MA at Winchester school of Art. I always specialised in the children’s market and was constantly looking to put my work into a different context.

Enter the world of children’s books! I wrote my first book “Here come Poppy and Max” in 1997 whilst still at college and have never looked back. As well as my own books, I sometimes illustrate other peoples stories. These are all translated with numerous international publishers with whom I have various ongoing projects.

I currently work as a part-time lecturer in Printed Textiles at Dundee University and share a studio with my dogs Lola and Yuki! The world of children’s books is very exciting and I’m over the moon to be a part of it!
