I am a Textile Artist, living and working in the beautiful Moray coast village of Findochty. I produce woven, one off, pieces of art, mainly wall hangings and bags. My inspiration comes from my natural surroundings- the colours, textures and shapes of the local coastline and countryside.

I surround myself with photographs and gleanings from the shoreline, developing these visual feasts into finished articles. Traditional weaving methods are combined with innovative and unusual materials, such as fishing line, painted paper, rubber latex and beachcombings, to create tactile pieces of interest and individuality. Dyeing, painting, stitching and weaving may all be used in conjunction to make one piece of art. Much of my work is 3 dimensional and textural, involving layers , capturing a sense of the coastline and countryside.
