Craft MakerStuart Fellowes, Longline Studio Glasgow
Established 2006
The aim of Longline Studio is to re-create in miniature, historic Scottish buildings, transport, landscapes and Celtic heritage. I produce a growing range of hand crafted, resin cast ornamental models that depict Scottish history through the ages. This diverse range covers things from a Pictish stone circle to an Iron age Crannog, then to Celtic Christianity. Jumping forward to the medieval period, I have reconstructed some of Scotlands finest domestic architecture such as Urquhart Castle, Smailholm Tower and Glasgows Provands Lordship. Coming to the last century I have a range of tenement buildings, tramcars, buses and boats. The idea is to encapsulate and commemorate the spirit of all the Scots of yesteryear, their lives and efforts that have shaped the country we have today. |
