As an established textile artist and quilter working with fabrics and colours provides endless opportunities to stitch layers of meaning into a piece of work. Most pieces include a small application of metal foils to the fabric which provides an unusual focus.

I work to commission making luxurious metal foiled handbags, small framed pieces and large wall hangings and enjoy the intellectual and artistic challenge of working to the customer's remit. Colour is of overriding importance in any given piece and provides the 'atmosphere'. The stitching together of the layers of fabrics provides an opportunity to create another layer of meaning with each stitch and the subsequent texture produced.

I sell my work direct to customers, through my website and my handbags are sold through JK Jewellery, Park Road, Glasgow. My work is held in both private and public collections and I exhibit in various venues in the UK and USA. I also teach throughout the UK.
