eedal is a textile designer, originally from South Korea, and now based in Dundee. She is intensely interested in the fusion between traditional textile techniques and contemporary design. She expresses this through the mediums of embroidery, smocking, knitting and dying. She creates pieces which embody her journey and emotions and cannot be duplicated. They merge the beauty, mystery and simplicity of Korean design with the earthy, rich vibrancy of traditional Scottish fabrics. She enjoys making a variety of items ranging from shawls to handbags and also garments.
