Marion studied at Glasgow Shool of Art and now has her studio in North Ayrshire.

With a selection of old worn hammers I strike a mixture of surfaces onto my tableware. I like the idea of making my work look and feel non precious. With each hammer blow I texture the surface making it rough or very subtle. Used with smooth polished edges and touches of gold my aim is to encourage the owner to take their time to feel, explore and enjoy the piece.

Commissions include Silver of the Stars -Coffee Pot Set for Ewan McGregor and Bute House.

Work can also be found in Victoria & Albert Museum, Kelvingrove Museum and the Royal Museum of Scotland.
