The business is called Beadalicious, my name is Fiona Dick, I am the designer and maker of all Beadalicious Jewellery. The materials i use are Freshwater Pearls, Semi Precious Stones, Swarovski Crystals, Glass and Sterling Silver.

The urban dictionary defines the word Beadalicious as amazing, very good, so very very good.

My brief is to create beautiful, stylish elegant yet fun jewellery from high quality materials for the modern woman.

Using Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, semi precious stones, sterling silver and glass beads, Beadalicious offers a bespoke jewellery design service alongside each seasons collections.

Beadalicious is a business born out of a hobby which, as many creative hobbies do, had taken over all my spare time and much of my home also!

I didn't set out to become a jewellery designer, having studied textiles and fashion design at university I suppose I thought that would be the path I would follow but life is full of surprises and a jewellery designer is what I am!

I started with a few glass beads i purchased in a gorgeous little bead shop on a city break in Belfast. I soon became hooked and made more and more pieces to give as gifts to friends and family.

I began selling my designs as people were approaching me to make things for their friends and relatives, and as demand continued to grow i decided to officially launch the business in Setember 2006.

I sell mainly at craft fairs and house parties, and at the Alcraft contemporary art and design fair held each Saturday in Merchant Square, Glasgow. Since February 2007 people are able to purchase my designs online through my website.
