I specialise in creating beautiful and unique leaded mirrors and suncatchers. A few current favourite design motifs are leaves, birds, boats and flowers (including some Mackintosh inspired rose designs!)

I use the the stained glass overlay method of decoration which allows leaded mirrors to be created using a single sheet of glass thus the reflected image is distortion free.

I rarely use plain coloured film, prefering instead the quality of the marble effects, wisps and lustres which have added depth of colour and interest.

I use natural lead and am therefore able to solder lead joints which gives a quality finish to the leadwork. The lead is either polished as-is for a natural lead finish, or treated with a patination fluid before polishing which give the lead a darkened antique finish.

My personalised mirrors are particularly popular. These make ideal birth or christening presents. Several existing styles are available and I always like to work on new designs so please get in touch if you have something extra special in mind!

The name Andamento derives from another of my craft related interests; andamento is the generic term used to describe the flow of a mosaic. I plan to have some of my mosaic work added to the variety of items available through Andamento soon.
